The theme for August is Reiassan

Magic, war, battling religious interpretations, mysterious history: the story of Reiassan goes from a Dark-Ages-level technology right up to steampunk.

The theme will determine:
* memes for the month
* the Giraffe Call for the month
* if we reach $75 of Patreons – the fiction prompt for the month

In addition, I will post at least a couple pieces on that theme, regardless of memes/Giraffe Call/Level of Patreon reached.

But in order to vote, you need to either be a Patron or a Donor!

8. micro-flash-fiction (type)

During the month, I will post at least one piece a week, probably more, on that theme. If I chose to do a Giraffe Call that month, that will be the theme of the Call. If the Patreon campaign reaches a goal level, the fiction/Q&A/Art will be chosen from that theme, too.

July Theme-picking time

I’m trying something new – monthly themes!

The theme can be a setting (e.g. Stranded World, Reiassan, Tir na Cali), a concept (Love stories, genderfuckery, during-the-apocalypse), or a type of work (Demifiction, Q&A, microflash fiction).

At the beginning of each month, I’ll collate a list of 10 themes, and put it up for a vote from my Patreon patrons at the $5 level and higher.

During the month, I will post at least one piece a week, probably more, on that theme. If I chose to do a Giraffe Call that month, that will be the theme of the Call. If the Patreon campaign reaches a goal level, the fiction/Q&A/Art will be chosen from that theme, too.

Themes Ideas

So, one of the things I’m trying for my Patreon campaign is a monthly theme or ‘verse.

Patrons at the $5/month level and above will be able to vote on the theme/’verse, and at least some of the free-posted fiction on the site that month will be in that theme.

In addition, if we reach the $75, $150, $300, or $450/month donation levels, the rewards will be within theme.

‘Verses are easy; I have lots of ’em and can pick the ones I’m excited about or at least leave out the ones I’m really not feeling that month.

Themes – themes are harder.
