First and Last Words: Yesterday’s Pirate Nano Addergoole

First Line of Yesterday (And last line of the night before) –

He offered her a bright smile and hoped that worked.

It seemed to. She smiled back, at least.

Last line of yesterday:

Somewhere in this room, there had to be a predator she could use as a blind.

I wrote 1554 words of Addergoole and 0 words of “Other” yesterday,
bringing my Addergoole total to 21,655 (goal-to-date 21,250)
and my Other total to 10,490 (goal-to-date 10,200). Right on track!

Well, on adjusted track, from when I took this from 20 days to 23 days. Note to self: break days are a good thing.

Fallen out of the Habit – first and last words of yesterday

For my Pirate Nano:
Kai struggled to find something polite to say, anything, so she could politely leave. “Congratulations.” That was what you were supposed to say, right?

and

“Well, if you don’t look, you won’t know what everyone else is looking at.”

I wrote 1,341 words yesterday on Addergoole re-writes (goal: 1250/days), bringing my total so far to 15,200 (goal: 14,890).

It’s a lot harder to stay on track in not-November, partially because in November I don’t mind giving up everything else for Nano, and partially because of the support system one has in Nov. And the write-ins. I could use a write-in. But I’m still on-goal: 310 words over on Addergoole yesterday, and 208 words over on my “write 600 words of other writing/day” goal.

Just because I’m all about the goals: I was also 6535 words OVER my “write more words than I did in January 2013” goal, but since that’s only 1600-something words/day, it would be hard to beat my pinowrimo goal and not make the other one 😉

Unforgivable, a story for the OrigFic Bingo

To [personal profile] ysabetwordsmith‘s prompt to my January OrigFic Card.

This fills the “Betrayal” square.

Content warning: suggested self-harm, vague.

“You weren’t supposed to know at all.”

“I’m glad I did! Tory, this isn’t the sort of thing you should keep to yourself. You’ll be better now.”

“Ty, you can’t just read people’s private things. That was password-protected for a reason.”

“Well, it wasn’t like it was hard…” Ty was faltering. The staff had said five minutes. Maybe five minutes was too long.

“You hacked my computer. You read my private things.” Tory was looking around the room. The window, no, no there was no way anyone could get out the window. Ty backed towards the door. There’d be no end of it if Tory got out.

“Tory, look at it! Look at you! I did this for your own good! Come on, you have to understand that.”

Sitting in a hospital bed, in a thin gown, Tory didn’t look understanding. If anything, Ty would have to call that expression “furious.” “Come on, Tory. You understand. I did this for your own good.”

“You violated me.”

“I read your computer.”

“And I ended up here.” Tory stood up. “No. I don’t understand, Ty. No, it’s not okay.”

The window was too small for anyone to fit out of. Wasn’t it?

“Tory… Tory, I was helping you.”

“That wasn’t the help I wanted. You can go off and help someone else. Or better yet… don’t help anyone at all.”

The window wasn’t too small for Tory.
