1. Why did you start writing Addergoole?
Hrrm. That’s convoluted.

Steps: A friend introduced me to Tales of Mu.
I had been writing for a while by then.
And I wanted to share my writing with other people.
Web-fiction seemed like a brilliant idea.

Then it was a matter of – well, then, what should I write?
I had the Tír na Cali setting. I wanted something sexy, because Mu was so sexy. But Tír na Cali suffers from some really horribly shallow worldbuilding. So that wouldn’t work.

So… what if I just changed a few details?

And then Addergoole was born.

2. What’s your favourite thing about crowdfunding?
Immediate feedback! I can tell what works, and what doesn’t work!

3. If you could pick any of your verses to live in, which would it be and why?
Ack! I like writing dystopias… not so much living in them!
I think Facets, if I could be on the team. Or another team, but I really like Cole.
Or Stranded. Stranded would be nice.

4. What magical power would you love to have?
Teleportation teleportation teleportation

5. If you suddenly got sucked into an RPG which one would it be and what sort of character would you be?
Addergoole RPG?
Urrrrrrm
I really don’t know that one.

Soliciting opinions about a new serial

Hello!

Addergoole, my webserial of three-plus years, is coming to an end by mid-June, and I am beginning to contemplate ideas for a new serial.

The plan is for an episodic, season-based one-year run, with an option for renewal for a second year, and one long episode a week for 52 weeks.

My current ideas include:

* Steam-Reiassan, set in the world of Rin & Girey but several centuries in the future.
* Addergoole Year 9, set 4 years after the current serial
* Facets of Dusk
* Something Space Opera
* Something involving someone f-to-m genderswapped

It’s neither a long nor comprehensive list yet. So! Is there anything on there that really, really catches your eye? Is there anything else you’d rather see me do a serial on? Any other feedback?

Reconsidering Giraffe Incentives and Time Crunching

As I struggle to finish January‘s Giraffe Call, I am coming to the conclusion that I have overextended myself on, at the very least, the higher reaches of the call incentive levels and need to rethink them.

So, my question to you, oh my readers:

* What incentives do you really like, that encourage you to participate/donate?
* Which don’t motivate you at all/do you really not care about?
* Would you rather have less in a more timely fashion, or more stretched out over 2-3 months?
