The Great August Rebloggening Challenge: Week 6 Check In

Home Site housekeeping Challenge

Hello Again! It’s time to check in on the Home Site Housekeeping Challenge!

I sort of went nuts last week.  It is a lot of fun.

Okay, it’s starting to get a little messy, but you can see all the happy penguins there in the last week.

I got almost caught up with Thimbleful, hooray!  I am through July 2019 on Patreon Crossposts.

I fixed the Integromat account so that wordpress posts are now crossposting again to Facebook, Tumblr, and Dreamwidth!

I made a setting page for the Bellamy and added the serial to the Long-form stories pages.  Updated the Settings pages with that, as well as Desmond’s Climb (also on long-form), and Space Colonies, and I did a bunch of work on the Fae Apoc landing page, as well as adding several fae apoc stories to the long-form stories “On Hiatus” section.

🐧

With advice from Kelkyag & Kunama, I started sorting out my menus.  /Rueful/

I made a Writings page. It suggests those pages that will go in as child menus, but that’s as far as I’ve gotten – looking for feedback on this page, s’il vous plait.

🐧

So!

How is your website/blog doing?

How was your last week of website upkeep and/or posting?

I don’t have any challenges in mind this week, so challenge me!

  1. Work on your “Support the Author” page, including deciding whether that’s the same page as “Contact the Author” or not. Possibly “Contact”, “Support”, and “Encourage” are all sections of the same page? (Does that count as a challenge?)

<eyes the Settings update> I’d argue that “Colony” is more of a theme than a setting. Would you want use theme tags and/or create a theme page with some examples?

    • In theory, they’re all in the same world. Universe, rather.
Theme, hrrm. I could do that with like “generic urban fantasy” and “generic apocalypse” too.

          • Anything that shows up in multiple ‘verses (and possibly some things that show up in only parts of large ‘verses). Cat people. Family obligations. Food & cooking. Promises. Servitude. Seasons. Various flavors and time phases of catastrophe. Connections. Shape shifters. Anything that’s come up as a theme option in your polls.

What might you click on if you saw it in the sidebar and had no other context?
